This companionship and caregiving position offers flexible hours and opportunities to assist seniors on both day and night shifts. Clients may receive as little as 4 hours of care, while others require 24-hour care.
As a Caregiver, you have the rewarding job of helping seniors live as fully and independently as possible while remaining in the places they love. You competently provide non-medical elderly care and home companionship, helping with various responsibilities such as laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation. With the client’s dignity always at the forefront of your mind, you help them maintain proper personal hygiene. Responsibilities and Duties
Your primary responsibilities are:
Assist the client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as specified in the client's plan of care created during in-take. Those activities may include but are not limited to: bathing, dressing, grooming, other personal hygiene, toileting, transferring, eating and continence care.
You may also be asked to assist with medication reminders, housekeeping services, laundry, meal preparation, feeding, shopping, transportation to and from appointments and companionship.
Other household tasks as specified in the client's plan of care
To report daily activity to your SHC supervisor through daily activity logs. Furthermore, caregivers will maintain "Fit for Duty" physical condition, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
