About Company
SYNERGY HomeCare of Schaumburg is owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo, Paul and Dr. Shelley Fisher.
The company has served residents in Schaumburg, Arlington Heights, Elgin, Elk Grove Village, St Charles, Palatine, Hoffman Estates, West Chicago, Aurora, Bartlett, St. Charles, Batavia, Geneva, and the surrounding areas for the last eight years with various non-medical care options, from companion care to personal and respite care.
Paul and his wife have both had a life-long passion for helping others. Paul’s family caregiving experiences and Shelley’s experience as a Doctor of Social Work combined, made choosing care entrepreneurship for seniors an easy choice.
Paul has a long-standing history in sales and marketing, which made relationship-building and connecting with others a natural fit for his work with seniors and their families. He raised his family alongside Shelley while maintaining his hobbies: golfing and fishing.
Shelley has deep expertise in social work, understanding family dynamics and elder care. She’s also an adjunct professor at Aurora University teaching graduate students pursuing social work. Her background informs her and Paul’s philosophy of care and creating a supportive environment for the lives they touch.
To the Fishers, care is a uniquely universal experience that doesn’t discriminate. That mantra drives their diverse and innovative approach to caring for all. Paul and Dr. Shelley’s family members and extended family have benefited from aging in place, and that’s their goal with each family they work with.
The SYNERGY HomeCare of Schaumburg team prides itself on professionalism, quality, and approachability. Earning clients’ trust is their top priority while placing equal effort into creating a culture where caregivers thrive as employees. This emphasis has earned them key accolades from Home Care Pulse’s Best of Home Care Awards, including Leader In Excellence and Provider of Choice and the Caring Stars of 2024 award from Caring.com, a recognition for service excellence.
Care needs don’t take a holiday, and this team doesn’t either. When the team isn’t in the office, they’re working hand-in-hand with community partners, like home health agencies, occupational and physical therapists, and rehab facilities to better coordinate hospital-to-home transitions and other care transitions smoothly.
SYNERGY HomeCare of Schaumburg provides an array of non-medical care options. Companion care includes assistance with cooking, shopping, running errands, light housekeeping, and other tasks that allow clients to live independently. Personal care provides assistance with bathing, dressing, using the toilet, and other activities of daily life.
