Residents with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia can find specialized support through the use of deeply rooted, person-centered programming, here at Brookdale White Rock. Located in the Lake Highlands neighborhood — a historic area of Dallas — residents have access to a combination of helpful amenities both on- and off-site. Staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency, and an alert system as well as keypad entries are also in use, providing added protection.Brookdale’s unique on-site care coordination program, Brookdale HealthPlus, is designed to make life easier. The Brookdale HealthPlus Care Manager (RN) can serve as a medical advocate for residents and manage a variety of needs. The Care Manager can coordinate care with residents’ doctors and specialists, organize care transitions, schedule follow up visits, and more. Annual wellness visits, immunizations, and health screenings are also provided. Plus, residents can receive support for chronic conditions, like diabetes, high blood pressure, and congestive heart failure.In addition to monitoring, residents receive daily visual reminders and can participate in dementia-friendly programs and activities.
